Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide developed as a highly selective growth hormone secretagogue. It is frequently chosen over earlier secretagogues in research because it shows minimal cross-activity on cortisol and prolactin axes.
Selective agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a, the ghrelin receptor. Receptor activation couples through Gq and phospholipase C to intracellular calcium mobilisation in somatotrophs, promoting growth hormone release without measurable ACTH stimulation in reported models.

Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening to prevent condensation on the lyophilized cake. Add sterile or bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial, then let the powder dissolve without agitation; swirl gently if needed. Do not shake or vortex — shear forces denature peptide secondary structure and cause foaming that traps material on the stopper.
As a sealed lyophilized powder the material is stable for extended periods at -20 °C when kept desiccated and protected from light. Once in solution, stability shortens considerably: aqueous stocks are normally held at 2-8 °C for short term work or aliquoted and frozen for longer storage.
