Research use policy

How our compounds are intended to be used

This page is maintained by PrimeGen Co. to state plainly what our materials are, who they are supplied to, and what purchasers agree to when they place an order.

What we supply

PrimeGen Co. supplies synthetic and recombinant research compounds in lyophilized form for use in in vitro and laboratory investigation. Our materials are chemical reagents. They are not drugs, dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics, or medical devices, and they have not been evaluated by any medicines regulator for safety or efficacy in humans or animals.

Product pages describe how each compound is understood to behave in published scientific literature. Those descriptions are educational summaries of research findings. They are not claims that a compound treats, prevents, or affects any condition, and they must not be read as such.

Who may purchase

Orders are accepted from qualified purchasers only: research institutions, academic laboratories, commercial R&D organisations, and individuals with the training and facilities to handle laboratory reagents safely. By placing an order you confirm that you meet this description and that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

  • You are acquiring the material for laboratory research purposes only
  • You have the facilities and competence to handle and dispose of chemical reagents safely
  • You will not resupply the material for any use prohibited by this policy
  • You are responsible for determining the legality of possession and use where you are located

Prohibited uses

The following uses are expressly outside the terms on which we supply material, and orders may be refused or cancelled where we have reason to believe they are intended.

  • Human consumption, injection, inhalation, topical application, or any other administration to a person
  • Administration to animals outside a properly approved research protocol
  • Use in the manufacture of foods, supplements, cosmetics, or medicinal products
  • Resale or distribution to consumers, or marketing of the material for personal use
  • Any use in a clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic setting

Educational content versus product listings

Our Research Library exists to explain scientific concepts — peptide chemistry, handling technique, analytical methods — independently of anything we sell. Library articles do not recommend compounds and do not describe dosing of any kind.

Product pages exist to specify what is in a vial: sequence data, physical characteristics, measured purity, storage requirements and packaging. Where a product page summarises research findings, it does so to explain what the compound is studied for, not to suggest an application.

Purchaser compliance responsibility

Laws governing the import, possession, and use of research chemicals differ substantially between countries and, in some cases, between regions within a country. It is the purchaser's responsibility to verify that a compound may lawfully be received and held at the delivery address before ordering.

We are unable to advise on the regulatory status of any compound in your jurisdiction. Where a shipment is refused, seized, or returned by customs because local rules prohibit the material, responsibility rests with the purchaser.

Handling and disposal

Treat all material as a laboratory chemical of unknown hazard. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, work within suitable containment, and dispose of unused material and contaminated consumables through your institution's chemical waste stream in accordance with local regulations.

Questions about this policy

Use the contact form on our Contact page with any question about the terms on which material is supplied. Where a specific research context requires additional documentation, our laboratory support team can usually provide it.
