Reagent quality is a variable in every experiment. This page sets out the criteria a laboratory should apply when evaluating any research peptide supplier, and describes how our material and documentation are presented against each one.

Evaluate the documentation, not the marketing

A supplier's website copy is not evidence. The only durable signals of quality are the analytical documents attached to a specific lot, the ability to trace a vial in your freezer back to that document, and consistency of both across repeat orders.

Before ordering from anyone, ask three questions: can I see the assay report for the exact lot I will receive, does the report name the analysing laboratory and the method used, and can I match the lot number printed on the vial to that report without contacting support.

  • Named analytical method — reversed-phase HPLC for purity, mass spectrometry for identity
  • Lot number printed on the vial that resolves to a published document

How our material is presented

Every compound page states the vial contents, nominal fill, the purity figure reported for the current lot and the analytical route used to obtain it. Certificates are published digitally on the certificates page and indexed by lot, so they can be read before an order is placed rather than after delivery.

Certificates are not enclosed physically with shipments. This is deliberate: a digital document can be re-verified, superseded and version-controlled, whereas a printed sheet in a box cannot be audited later.

What we do not claim

We do not claim regulatory approval of any kind, and nothing supplied here is a drug, supplement, cosmetic or medical device. We do not claim that any compound is safe or effective for any use in humans or animals, and we do not publish accreditation marks we do not hold.

Where a figure is not measured, we say so rather than estimating. Net peptide content, for example, differs from chromatographic purity, and a laboratory reporting exact molar concentrations should determine content independently or work from the value stated on the lot certificate.

Frequently asked questions

Are certificates of analysis specific to the lot I receive?

Yes. Certificates are indexed by lot number and the same lot number is printed on the vial label, so the document can be matched to the material in hand.

Is a purity figure alone enough to evaluate a peptide?

No. Chromatographic purity describes the proportion of the chromatogram attributable to the main peak. It says nothing about whether that peak is the intended sequence, which is why identity confirmation by mass spectrometry is reported alongside it, and nothing about net peptide content, which is affected by counter-ion and residual moisture.

Do you ship internationally?

No. Orders are dispatched within the United States only, from our facility in Chase City, Virginia.
